Tyler Gordon, Managing Partner

Tyler Gordon, Managing Partner

Tyler has spent his career at several leading financial institutions, with close to a decade of experience as a principal investor in private equity. Prior to founding Horizon Point, Tyler was a Principal in Private Equity at Apollo Global Management (NYSE: APO), a global investment firm with over $400 billion in assets under management. At Apollo, Tyler was primarily responsible for identifying, evaluating and managing investments across a wide range of sectors and strategies.

Over the course of his career, Tyler has served as a Director on the boards of several companies with a wide range of profiles – from start-ups with revenues <$10 million to mature companies with revenues of >$1 billion. As a Director, Tyler was integrally involved in shaping operational priorities, long-term strategic initiatives and capital allocation strategies at each company.

Tyler received his MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was selected as a Baker Scholar (top 5% of his class) and a Loeb Fellow (awarded to HBS’s top finance student), and graduated with honors from Harvard College with a BA in Economics.

Tyler was born and raised in New York and is an avid sports fan. Despite calling the Northeast home for almost his entire life, Tyler counts the Atlanta Braves and the San Francisco 49ers as two of his greatest sources of jubilation (and despair, depending on the year).

Zach Gordon, Managing Partner

Zach Gordon, Managing Partner

Over his career, Zach has held a diverse set of roles at leading financial and corporate institutions. After beginning his career in M&A at Citigroup in New York, Zach moved to São Paulo, Brazil where he joined Tarpon Investimentos, the country’s largest independent equities-focused investment fund with over $3 billion under management. While at Tarpon, Zach invested in public and private companies across a wide range of industries in Latin America, the U.S. and Europe.

Most recently, Zach was a Senior Director at Restaurant Brands International (NYSE: QSR), the global franchisor of Burger King, Tim Hortons, Popeyes and Firehouse Subs. At RBI, Zach’s wide range of responsibilities included business development and M&A, as well as budgeting, financial planning and public reporting. Given the nature of his role, Zach worked closely with RBI’s executive team, as well as the company’s largest shareholder, 3G Capital.

Zach received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BA in History from Harvard College. In his free time, Zach enjoys spending time with his wife and their two young daughters and playing guitar. He is also more than halfway to his goal of running a marathon on every continent.
